After gymnazium, Maria Nina graduated from the Shoe and Fashion Accessories Design Studio at the Faculty of Design and Art of Ladislav Sutnar in Pilsen. During her studies, she worked as a traineeship at the Paris studio (Atelier du Sartel) and is currently on an internship with the German brand ekn-footwear. Her work has been repeatedly rewarded by Good Student Design, and in 2013 she won the Talent Design competition for Rectangle shoes, which were later requested by the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York to their permanent collections. The mule shoes were nominated in Munich's Talente 2018. As part of the design team of dry milk of virgin mary, Maria Nina presented her work at FashionClash in Maastricht. She is nominated for the Czech Grand Design 2018 Award in the Discovery of the Year category for her thesis OffCuts, this work is also among the finalists of the Hyere - Villa Noailles Festival in France.
