*1995, Hradec Kralove

Matouš Hrbek is a painter who has been studying in the painting studio of Vladimír Skrepl and Jan Šerých for four years now. In his work, he freely moves from a realistic position to an abstract painting, in which he solves the issues of childhood and post-traumatic experience, which he reflects on in his work. Painting is often under the pursuit of an effort to paint external reality, which is combined with internal associations, the inner logic of personal themes, or the mythology of characters who embody various metaphors. In his work, he solves the therapeutic overlap, where it is possible to consciously start from mistakes and reduce or develop them into the final form of the image.
