Šimon Dub

Šimon is a student at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the Studio of painting of Jiří Černický and Michal Novotný.

His works are the result of exploring the boundaries between the real and illusory virtual world. The daily absorption of the intermingling physical and virtual worlds is dangerously attractive. The work touches on the question of the identity of the individual in contemporary society and presents the inner worlds of people who are affected by the dictates of today's hectic times with constant pressure to perform. The work reflects a desire to explore imaginative modes of expression that respond to the happenings in the world around us, its energy, richness and diversity, as well as its anxieties and dangers.
